Ladies and Gentlemen,
It was with great enthusiasm that I discovered the job advertisement for an editor/reporter in the Politics & Business department and decided to submit my application without hesitation.
After spending many years abroad in Turkey as a correspondent for Deutsche Welle and as a video reporter for Euronews, I am now back in Munich and looking for an editorial team that I can actively support with my journalistic and multimedia know-how. As you can see from my CV, I have extraordinary experience in researching, editing and dubbing video reports. Reliable, fast and precise reporting is one of my absolute strengths. Thanks to my many years of work as a foreign correspondent, both for television and for Deutsche Welle's online service, I have a great affinity for the web as well as a high level of stamina and speed in journalistic work. I also feel very comfortable as a presenter and live reporter - in dangerous stressful situations, such as at the Turkish-Syrian border or during the mass protests in Istanbul, I did many live broadcasts for television. Thanks to my experience in crisis situations, as a journalist I am not afraid to deliver high-quality reporting. Due to the enormous press censorship in Turkey, social media is one of my main focuses in my day-to-day journalistic work.
My interest in moving away from public television to the private broadcaster RTL is no coincidence. I have recently been able to observe how much RTL has developed in terms of the quality of news journalism. I would also be delighted to work in a young, open and dynamic team.
